Pujas – Mantra prayers
Shiva-Shakti Puja & Jivatman Puja

Anandajay has created 12 ritual mantra prayers, which were previously published in two workbooks and are now also available as an ebook series (in Dutch). The ebooks have been released in six parts, corresponding to the six accompanying music albums, so that the background, meaning and practice of the pujas and their gestures are now available separately for each puja album. These musical prayer rituals or pujas connect you with the life force and fullness of your inner self. The pujas consist of a Sanskrit mantra with accompanying arm and hand gestures, and a piece of music in which the mantra is embedded in a devotional, tranquil soundscape of Indian instruments.

The Shiva–Shakti puja is a prayer of thanksgiving for the tantric principle of creation: the interplay of consciousness and life energy, the masculine and the feminine. Shiva represents universal potential, Shakti the power that brings this potential to life. Only when they meet does creation, renewal and becoming arise. The puja honours the longing of both poles to come together and reminds you that creation arises where consciousness and life energy meet.
The Jivatman puja is a prayer of thanksgiving in honour of the soul and its origin. It opens you to the realisation that you, as an animated human being (jivatman), originate from the all-encompassing soul (atman) and remain inextricably connected to it. Human beings have emerged from it and will never forget their origins, always longing to be reunited. This puja invites you to recognise both your human form and your infinite origin and to experience that they are essentially one.
