3. ShantiYoga - Awareness

Uniting your inner being with your tangible authenticity

ShantiYoga is a meditative form of body awareness that brings you into contact with the inner peace (shanti) present in everyone. ShantiYoga begins with establishing a loving relationship with yourself and your body, because you are the center from which you experience everything through your body, and a receptive, accessible body allows you to be in that openness with your essence (yoga).

Experiencing ShantiYoga allows for a peaceful union of your essence and your body, of what you know and what you feel, and of the energies of your crown and root chakras.

Each conscious movement or yoga posture and associated breath movement then fosters both a greater flow of life energy and it brings you into a greater openness to your essence. This brings about changes in both your physical, energetic and spiritual consciousness and brings you into contact with the timeless being behind all your experiences. To deepen the spiritual process, the postures are often supplemented with the other eleven teachings practices, such as meditation, mantra, sound (nada), breath and aura consciousness.

The postures used in ShantiYoga correspond to the main stages of development that you already went through as a fetus, in the enveloping wholeness of the mother’s body, and as a child from birth until moving independently, and they are important for your overall health because they ensure that you are and remain supple. All of these postures are craniosacral oriented and have a wholesome and liberating effect on your physical as well as emotional, mental, affective and spiritual state of being.
